Life wants

I hope someday you see this is all life wants:
for you to be your own kind of beautiful & not the kind
that makes you forget who you are.

Snow was falling...

Snow was falling,
so much like stars
filling the dark trees
that one could easily imagine
its reason for being was nothing more
than prettiness.

(Photos from my archive, actually we haven't snow)

Friday Five, red and a Christmas song

Good morning,
it's Friday again and time for Willy Nilly Friday, Five on Friday and Soulfood Friday.

Today without big words - I haven't always the energy for writing...

Three red images, I like the warmth of red in cold wintertime
and Christmas seems for me always as an "red holiday"

A beautiful "red" video you can see here

At last a Polish Christmas song, what I like.

Have a wonderful soul-warming Christmas all :-)

Last begonies...

Deep in their roots all flowers keep the light.

Glass...

If you treat glass right, it doesn't crack. If you know the properties, you can make things; the color of dusk and night and love. But you can't control people like that and I really, really wish you could. I want the world to be glass.

Little German ABC

W is for Wald

Wald [valt] der <–(e)s, Wälder> wood(s), forest

Similiar words in German and English I found:

Wort [vɔʳt] - word
warm [vaʳm]
Wes·ten [ˈvɛstn̩] - west
 Wolf [vɔlf] - wolf

Sorry, I'm late and I haven't managed to participiate in all issues of last weeks.

Seventeen months...

They were Circassians.
For over 130 years lived in Syria.
Than the town bombed, their homes destroyed.
Families dead.
They had nothing to lose,
held each other's hands and went on the way.
They did not join a group,
didn't payd for smugglers to drown in the sea.
They took the landway, simply walked away
passing destroyed towns, across deserts
over mountains, trough valleys...
Rivers they crossed
peaceful or rough countries.
For seventeen months they were on the way.
Had good people met and bad
they saw destructed life, violence so many.
Forced into hiding and going away.
Nowhere they could stay.
The path was staying the goal.
They came to the land of their ancestors
but there wasn't just a good place.
They moved further north
feet they wore far.
Fatigue and dust of the journey in their faces.
In the endless vast they stopped for a break.
Leaning against each other, they sat in front of their small tent
under the large tent of stars
and she asked:
Do you hear them singing?
And he heard it too.
Far in the distance.
someone was singing.
And through the song sounds a little bit
like home.

The exercise is to write a story to a picture.
Today I've changed it and wrote to a song.

Helleborus orientalis

Sweet flowers of spring
Seeds are waiting in frozen
eart for their time
