Wochenblatt

Gingko biloba

Late winter day

(photo from my archive)

The late winter sun licks the hoarfrost from the meadows
The trees in the park are still asleep,
but the onset of spring spring will soon wake them up.
Not sure, but I think it's a hornbeam.

Silhouettes of trees

Some old beechs, young birches (3) and spruces in the background (4)

Spruces in wintertime

Like a veil lie the branches in the photo over the landscape.
Normally spruces are green in winter and the woods are dark,
but they lost a lot of their needles.
It has been too dry in recent years.
The trees had no water and got pests.
 Now they are dying.
Picturesque in the photos, dramatic in reality.
This is climate change...

Roots...

 Photos from my archive.
On a foggy day in late autumn we strolled through the forest.
We saw impressive roots of oaks and birches on a slope.

Baumgruppe - Group of trees

I've wanted to show this group of trees for a long time,
but I've had too much trouble in last weeks.
Took the photos at the end of May in the fresh spring green.
This is the best time for me: I can still see the branches,
but they are no longer completely bare.

A few beeches, a copper beech, a maple, birches down by the lake shore.

Some willows and mistletoes

In our region many trees have mistletoes in their branches.
They aren't everywhere, only in certain places,
it is probably related to the earth's radiation.
Mistletoes like earth radiation.

So many are concentrated in certain places,
you won't find a single one anywhere else.

The skies in my photos are digitally edited,
because we often haven't any color in the sky in this season...
Here is an original:

And here are some more close-up shots of mistletoe.
That tree (elsewhere) was fallen, I could take pictures
from what else is way up in the sky.
They have ripe berries, poisonous,
but also a medicinal plant.
