Good morning,
I'm back after very busy and dirty weeks.
Time to join again with Amy's Five on Friday and Tanya's Willy Nilly Friday Five.
I
In my home the electric cables were very old and after a wall was burning,
they had to be replaced now.
I have taken some time to clean out the library room and I live just still in chaos ...
II
Only someone who himself lives in a loam build home, knows, what it is for a fine dust
that goes through all the cracks and it looks like after a little sandstorm ...
III
There were seven or eight layers wallpaper cleaned off from the walls, the oldest from 1853 ...
IV
Now the renovation work is finished and i will sort all the books again.
For the first time in my life I count them, until today I've sorted in 3764 books,
but that are still not all.
but that are still not all.
V
A song from Kazakhstan or Bashkortostan (exactly I can not distinguish the languages).
I very like this simple clear melody and the voice of Sulfira Farchutdinova-Bakira.
Have a wonderful weekend all
Hi Mascha, it must be fun living in such a historic house. I'm happy that the work is completed and you can get things back together. That's a of books you have! Take care, Pat xx
AntwortenLöschenSuch an interesting post, Mascha! Your house may mean a lot of work, but it does sound and look very beautiful and special. Have a lovely weekend!
AntwortenLöschenI remember having all our electrical cables replaced, not an easy time...
AntwortenLöschenOh! I have walls like that and remember well the mess we had to endure whilst renovating this old house, looking good now though!
AntwortenLöschenYou have had a terrible job Mascha. But the new white wall looks so fresh & clean. Your library shall be a joy later on...
AntwortenLöschenTake care!
I dread having to rewire my home. I know the electricals are rather old and I suspect it might need it, but I'm avoiding thinking about it. I hope all gets sorted out quickly for you.
AntwortenLöschenThat is a lot of books. but what a beautiful setting for them.
AntwortenLöschenI think it is a lot of work.
AntwortenLöschenBest regards
susa
That sounds a big job, you probably didn't realise how many books you had until you had to move them. Enjoy your new library. :-)
AntwortenLöschenYou have had a lot of work.
AntwortenLöschenI wish you a relaxing weekend.

I love books and have decided it is time to declutter and downsize which means I must part with most of my books. Very hard to do. Hope you have time now to enjoy the new wiring, your home and your books. Love the wallpaper history you found. Have a relaxing week.
AntwortenLöschenWow that looks like a lot of work! It's interesting to see all those layers of wallpapers and what was popular. I hope you enjoy your new library!
AntwortenLöschenmy gosh mascha, that is scary, i am glad the old wires did not cause a fire! you sure have been busy and it is neat to see all the different layers of your walls! you sure have a lot of books...and i thought i had a ton! thank you for linking to willy nilly mascha, i have it ready to go now! have a great weekend!!
AntwortenLöschenHooray! Finally, someone who has more books than I do. (Unless you count the 1,000+ on my Kindle)
AntwortenLöschenMy goodness, what a lot of work! It looks as though you have a lovely fresh room to start in again and get all of your things in place. You certainly have a lot of books! Thank you for joining Five On Friday, hope you have a great weekend! xx
AntwortenLöschenWallpaper more than 150 years old that's amazing. Hard living through a renovation. What a tremendous number of books. I give most of mine away after I read them and keep only a treasured few.
AntwortenLöschenSuch an old house. You've done a great job of renovating. I enjoyed the song!
AntwortenLöschenYour wallpaper stripping photos are interesting and they remind me of the hard work I had in one of our homes that needed to have the wallpaper taken off many walls, and caring for your many books reminds me of my husband's new/used bookstore he had for five years in upstate NY. When he sold the store we still had soooo many books :) I hope you have a happy restful weekend! xx
AntwortenLöschenWell it looks to me like you deserve to take the rest of the summer off to read a book, I have a feeling you might have the odd one or two lying around that need reading?!
AntwortenLöschenWren x
Oh I just LOVE where you live! And I sure hope the renovation is over soon, and life gets back to normal. Beautiful flower as well.
